Mallory Knox // Live Review, Manchester Academy 2

Cambridge rockers, Mallory Knox, have had a phenomenal summer of festivals and winter doesn’t show any signs of them slowing. ‘Asymmetry’, the band’s sophomore album, was out only weeks ago and has already made huge waves in the British rock scene.

8123 TOUR SPECIAL // THE MAINE, Live Review & Photo Set- Electric Ballroom, London

The 8123 World Tour made a stop in London last week which meant our favourite Arizonians, The Maine, were back in town. Joined on the road by Nick Santino and Lydia, both of whom are on the band’s own management, (aptly named 8123), the night was set to be a sure fire rock hit. The last time we caught up with the headliners they were in the UK supporting Deaf Havana, so we took the opportunity to catch up with the band before the show in Camden’s Electric Ballroom.

8123 TOUR SPECIAL // Interview & Live Review with Support Act LYDIA

The UK is welcoming Lydia for the first time ever. They may have been a band for over a decade but this is their first jaunt over to UK shores on the 8123 Tour with The Maine. After taking a hiatus the Arizonians have returned with a new sense of vigour.

Est.1987 took the opportunity to head down to London’s Electric Ballroom to catch up with the band and they chatted to us about not being One Direction, being the band that don’t fit in any genre and how the secrets are all coming out now…

Nick Santino; the name may ring a bell. The former A Rocket To The Moon front man is going it alone and with a debut solo album already under his belt he is making a name for himself in his own right. He has been on the road with The Maine on their 8123 World Tour which has now graced UK shores.

We headed down to Camden Town’s Electric Ballroom to catch up with the main man himself to chat about making his own rules, working on the album with The Maine’s Pat Kirch and his former days as that MySpace dude…

Meet Josh and Kyle Brooks; they may only be fifteen but are already making waves on the UK music scene. Already garnering comparisons to the likes of Justin Bieber, the Cardiff twins’ fan-base is growing by the day. And if you haven’t already recognised the twins from their X Factor audition (which has over 220,000 views on YouTube), then their cheeky charm and soulful harmonies will be on your radar very soon. Est.1987 headed down to spend the day with the twins as they performed at Thorpe Park for the Showcase Live wrap party.
Click below for a live review, photo set and to hear what the boys said about that X Factor audition, being compared to Jedward and being tweeted by Chris Brown…

The Flatliners// Interview with Chris Cresswell & Live Review at Star & Garter, Manchester

Having been a band for over a decade The Flatliners have been on quite the musical evolution, and they’re still only twenty six years old. The Ontario four-piece is back on a mammoth European and UK tour, off the back of new album ‘Dead Language’. We headed down to Manchester’s Star and Garter to catch the live set.
It was great to sit down with front-man Chris Cresswell before the show to chat about touring, why the album was over 3 years in the making and hi love for coloured vinyl.
