We have been hotly
anticipating It Boys! debut UK
tour for a while now. The first two
singles really got us interested and after getting our hands on the album
before its release [read our review HERE] we couldn’t wait to see the live
show. The boys are over supporting Forever The Sickest Kids, so Est.1987 headed
down to ManchesterAcademy 3 to check them
out.
Brisbane thrash-pop duo DZ Deathrays have just released their debut album "Bloodstreams" and are currently on a mammoth tour. They have hit UK shores to tear things up so we headed down to Leeds Cockpit to chat to Shane and Simon about all things touring, the album and Jägermeister!
We last caught up with the General Fiasco boys not so long ago back in
February [you can check out the interview at the bottom of the review]. Since
then they’ve completed a UK
tour, released their E.P “Don’t You Ever” and are back out on the road yet
again. We headed down to Leeds Cockpit to
check out the hard working Irish rockers.
We first told you about Swedish rockers Takida HERE as we marked them as a band to watch out for. Their debut UK single "You Learn" came out on 7th May and we caught up with the band for a quick chat about their music, touring and anime!
We
were lucky enough to be invited to attend a very special event organised by
Future Everything in association with Hairbrain. Paul Wolinski aka “Polinski” is
returning to his home town for his debut audio visual show. We were expecting futuristic rhythms, euphoric
tones and soaring instrumentals as Polinski takes electronica to the next level
in the glorious surroundings of St Philip’s Church. And we weren’t
disappointed…
Well, don’t say we
didn’t warn you! We tipped Lawson as a band to watch [HERE] and they have been
taking 2012 by storm ever since. Their much anticipated debut single “When She
Was Mine” is released on 27th May and the boys have just commenced a
sell out UK
tour. We headed down to catch up with the quartet as they played Leeds Cockpit.
We have already tipped Bradford based “When
Giants Collide” for big things [ HERE ] and now we have another Bradford based treat in store for you. Meet “Talk To
Angels”, an alternative rock quartet who only formed in 2007, but wasted no time in taking their
talents across the pond, playing a 6 week U.S tour the following year. Having already
wowed new music giants CMJ, the band has played a host of festivals such
as Leeds, Wireless and SXSW.
Time flies when you're having fun, so they say, and MC Lars must've been having a lot of fun; he is now in his tenth year as a rapper and about to release his Greatest Hits! [No, we can't believe it either!] He's back in the UK on tour with Wheatus and also appearing at Slam Dunk Festival. We caught up with Lars on the first night of the tour at The Parish in Huddersfield.
Meet It Boys!, the Hollywood alt-pop
quintet are set to take UK
shores by storm. In fact this isn’t the first time we have introduced you to
the Californian five-piece; we tipped them as a band to watch out for ahead of
their Slam Dunk Festival debut later this month. [Read that HERE] UK bands such as “The Wanted” and “One
Direction” have started a surge of UK
talent making it big in the U.S; now it’s America’s turn to show us what
they’ve got.
You may have already seen Swedish sensation "Takida" take to the stage playing with "3 Doors Down" on their recent UK tour. Now Takida prepare to unleash their debut UK single, ‘You Learn’ today. The single is taken from the bands forthcoming UK album, ‘The Burning Heart’.
