The
heavy opening riff of “Fancy Dress” asserts Don Broco’s distinctive sound,
leading to a more laid back verse before bursting into a soaring chorus. One of
the album’s heavier tracks it is effortlessly catchy; Rob Damiani’s vocals assertive
and precise. The building tempo shows off the epic quality to “Fancy Dress”;
the essnential festival accompaniment.
You
have to hand it to Don Broco that they are undeniably likeable; the “lads’ band”
that the girls adore and the guys want to get up on stage and party with. Don
Broco’s sound is all inclusive, a perfect mix of gutsy riffs and delicious,
soaring melodies, honed down in single “Fancy Dress”. Overflowing with charm,
it is a big hitter that will have you unashamedly singing along after the first
listen. And if the accompanying video
doesn’t make you want to be a part of their live show, then we don’t know what
will. Don Broco take to the road on a headline tour in February and, with the
majority of dates already selling out, it’s going to be pretty special. Ballsy
British rock at its best, 2013 is going to be great for these four cheeky
chaps.
