Heaven’s Basement may  be one of the hardest working bands around. Their relentless touring has gained them a hefty reputation for putting on one hell of a live show. Their much anticipated debut album “Filthy Empire” came out earlier this year and the band has been riding the crest of a wave ever since. Est.1987 headed down to the sold out Manchester Sound Control show to catch up with the guys and chat about their live show, recording the debut and how they’re “fundamentally all too idiotic to get real jobs”…

FUTURES // Interview & Live Review

Having just finished up on the Karma Tour Futures have had a busy year thus far. After leaving their deal with Mercury behind the four-piece went it alone, launching self built record label Indigo and releasing their debut album shortly after. 

Est.1987 headed down to Manchester’s Sound Control as Futures headlined the “A Declaration All Dayer”. We chatted to the guys about the new record, making the right decisions and having a Bon Jovi moment!

Amy Can Flyy // Live Review, Manchester Sound Control

You may remember that Est.1987 caught up with Bournemouth pop-punkers Amy Can Flyy earlier this summer. The boys had been away working hard on a new EP, “The Start”, and prepping to go out on the road. Well, the tour came around pretty soon and the boys have been out with That Sunday Feeling and Falling Faster. 
Of course Est.1987 couldn’t pass up the opportunity to head down to Manchester on the final night to check out their live show…

Yes, you may recognise these guys from The Inbetweeners episode they appeared in or from their slots playing with famed American "post-punk laptop" rapper MC Lars.
